Our trained volunteers provide companionship for persons living with a life-limiting illness, respite for their caregivers and community connections.

Connect Cafés

Our Connect Cafés support, educate and empower those who are affected by or caring for a person living with a life-limiting illness. These free sessions are held throughout the year at various locations in our community

Compassion Bags Project

Created out of necessity when our Compassionate Care Volunteers could not enter the living quarters of our clients during the pandemic, our Compassion Bags continue to be a much appreciated gift.

Foyer Lacombe Hospice Programs

Music programs in Foyer Lacombe Hospice bring a higher quality of life to the residents, and are proven to reduce stress and pain. SASHA’s Harp Therapy and Accordion to Helen are unique musical experiences enjoyed by Foyer Lacombe residents and their families.

Grief Walks

Nature has a beautiful way of connecting us with life cycles, seasons, impermanence, and finding meaning along a pathway. Grief Walks can be an intentional sensory awakening and a chance for participants to connect with nature and others on a similar journey.

Caregiver Peer Support Groups

Caregiving can be stressful, isolating, and overwhelming, with an often-hidden negative impact on the physical and mental health of the caregiver. Our caregiver-centered programs / workshops help caregivers learn how to balance their own well-being during the on-going challenges of caregiving.
