SASHA has realized a long term plan in place since 2018! As a new organization SASHA has worked toward providing end of life care to residents of St. Albert & Sturgeon County. As our work has progressed and grown, the goal was to be in the position to apply for funding to hire staff. SASHA is very pleased to announce and welcome Marcie Mazurenko as the first Executive Director for SASHA! A huge thank you to the communities of St. Albert and Sturgeon County for your support, and to the Community Initiatives Program for the funding to achieve our goal.
Being involved in non-profit organizations for most of her life, Marcie was excited to join SASHA as Executive Director. From a young member of her local 4-H club, to serving as president of minor hockey, volunteering and executive directorship roles for other non-profit organizations, Marcie brings vast knowledge and experience to her role. She has a track record of success in fundraising, board governance, event planning, as well as marketing and communications. Outside of work, Marcie enjoys spending time watching her kids pursue their favorite activities, rodeo and hockey.
